Re: Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Orbit builds towards Europa
|
Of course the mentioned "official" build types are from the Eclipse Project
and Orbit can define its own but it might reduce confusion to not reuse
same terms for different things.

Orbit builds towards Europa
(Document link: Daniel Megert)
Just curious: does Orbit define its own build types? There is an official
definition of build types:
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/build_types.html
and there the R* builds are releases (and not "recommended").

builds towards Europa
Please respond to

issues

As Europa approaches, we would like to take a stable Orbit build and
promote it to "R" status. (Recommended) Once promoted, projects are
encouraged to consume Orbit bundles from the R-build.
If you contribute a bundle to Orbit, please take a few minutes and look at
the latest stable Orbit build to ensure that your bundle is ready for
consumption. Remember to check the abouts and licensing files as well as
the source bundle, etc.
The deadline for contributions to the last Orbit build will be June 13
@noon EST. (tomorrow)
Thanks.
