[cross-project-issues-dev] RE: [eclipse.org-planning-council] Europa M7-RC0 moved to release site

Talking about corrupt packed files, here is a heads up:

On Linux x86_64, signed packed files can only be installed with
Sun Java6. It breaks with Java1.5. Java1.4 should be OK since
it won't use the packed bits. Linux 32-bit is also OK. See

Cheers,

Everyone,
The Europa M7-RC0 bits have been copied from staging to the release site. Given the troubles that various people are having with updates and corrupt packed files, I strongly suggest that everyone try to install at least their bits from the release update site. Given the the file caching problems, you might want to wait 15-20 minutes from the time I send this email.

Kim,
Go ahead and update features-ep.xml with the Platform's RC1 build information. Thanks for waiting.

Everyone,
The RC1 Europa-matic builds are now in progress to the staging site.

- Bjorn
