David,

I
will open a Bugzilla for this… as I expect this to be an issue.. I
checked around with several products… And MANY of them have their OWN
flavor of Tomcat…

WebApplication

We should find
the minimum version that works and say "at least version XXX".
I know that Tomcat 5.5.25 works, for instance.  My uninformed guess
is that 5.5.12 will work, as I expect the delta between that and .23 is bug
fixes.

Apache Tomcat version requirements for COSMOS Web
     Application

Team,

1.    The COSMOS
downloads page states that “Apache Tomcat 5.5.23” is required for
the COSMOS web application.
2.    As part of my
Early Adopter efforts, I ran into TWO situations…
a.    A product was
certified on and running Tomcat 4.x (COSMOS web app does not work on this
platform)
b.    Another product
was running on Tomcat 5.5.12 (Sheldon / Hubert, will the COSMOS web app work on
this version?)

I suspect that many of the more
stable / mature / entrenched products out there may not necessarily support the
Tomcat 5.5.23.  What should our strategy be?  Should we test &
certify the COSMOS web app on additional versions of Tomcat? If so, how far
back in time do we go in regards to the supported versions of Tomcat

Thanks,
Jimmy Mohsin
