on behalf of Engineering Ingegneria Informatica S.p.A., I would like to express our interest in participating as a founding member of the proposed Eclipse Continuum Interest Group.
At Engineering (ENG), we have a dedicated Cloud-Edge Continuum R&I Lab, focused on unifying cloud, edge, and IoT into a single, intelligently managed computing fabric — through cloud-native architectures, edge-to-multi-cloud orchestration, and real-time data interoperability, with a strong commitment to open source.
Through our work in European R&I and IPCEI programmes on topics like data spaces and cloud-edge digital twins, we are actively addressing interoperability, workload portability, and data management across the computing continuum.
We would like to join the Eclipse Continuum Interest Group and take part in shaping shared use cases, reference architectures, and the discussion of what's next for a sovereign, open source computing continuum.
