Voting will close on 2025-07-13 for the Committer election of Vladimir Zakharov on project Eclipse Collections (technology.collections). Criteria: Vladimir Zakharov is actively involved in the Eclipse Collections project, as a contributor, user and advocate. He has 16 commits on the Eclipse Collections Project. He has contributed bug fixes, optimizations and user requested functionality. He was actively involved in the project in its previous existence as GS Collections and Caramel. Vlad is also the maintainer of the DataFrame-EC project which is an open source Java Data Frame library that heavily leverages Eclipse Collections, and has been recently upgraded to use Eclipse Collections 12.0. Vlad has given several Java Data Frame conference talks in the past year that include detailed explanations of Eclipse Collections benefits and usage in the DataFrame-EC library. Vlad was also a member of the JSR 335 Expert Group which helped usher lambdas into Java 8. While not a direct contribution to the Eclipse Collections code base, the presence of lambda support in Java has helped ensure Eclipse Collections relevance as a premier collections library for Java and enabled its continued evolution at the Eclipse Foundation for the past decade. As an Eclipse Collections maintainer, I am confident that his election to Committer status will help distribute the current workload that we have.
