SV: [cdt-test-dev] Testing CDT 4.0.x on Solaris 9 and 10

So what is being discussed and done in cdt-test-dev then? 
 
There has to be some kind of basic testing prior to shipping CDT
binaries all over the world and having the end-users "monkey-testing"
it, right? 
 
How do we make sure that CDT 4.0.1 is an improvement over 4.0.0 without
having it tested? It would be interesting to know how all this is done
today and the results of it.

I am unaware of any public test plans that vendors are sharing with the
community. We have relied on the community taking the milestone and
release
candidate builds and making sure the CDT works for them. But we've had
no
one to co-ordinate this to see what kind of coverage we get.

This is definitely a topic for the CDT Summit.
