[cdt-test-dev] RE: CDT3.0 testing coordination meeting
|
Thanks
for let us know, Mathieu.
Hi
Dave, I CCed you this email just to touch base.
Regards,
James
James,
Some news...
Brent, Tanya and myself have other higher prioritized
mandates at IBM. We will not be able to participate in the testing
activities for CDT 3.0.
The
testing I did this week was my last and it was adhoc, mainly targeted at the
indexer, content assist and search. I was not following the sanity test
plan.
As for all the listed items
(1 to 4), we won't be able to participate.
As for my commitment for scalability & performance
testing, it is now postponed indefinitely.
So, a meeting between us will not make sense
considering the circumstances.
The
CDT testing at IBM will done by Dave Daoust's team of developers.
If you have any questions or concerns,
Dave will be the best person to answer them.
Regards,
Mathieu

Hello Mathieu and Brent,
After 2 milestone testing, I
realize that I have a urge to sync up with you
folks on the following
items:
1. Sanity test plan:
We need to update the sanity test plan
to reflect the latest changes in CDT
3.0. Some new features in M5 and M6
should be picked into test plan. I also
have some existing test cases
want to go though with you guys since I am not
quite clear about
them.
2. The sample projects we used in test:
The cdt version
need to be updated; Meanwhile, I would like to find out if
you guys having
some new sample projects that we can use for next testing.
3. Let's
talk about automating the test plan:
I noticed when you (Mathieu) run the
sanity test, you finished very quick.
Are you using any automation tools?
It's too much work and taking too long
to finish the whole test plan
manually every time. I am thinking to use
WinRunner to automate some highly
repeatable test cases. Meanwhile Alain is
looking into Abbot since it's
open source.
4. Participation of M7 and RC testing in the
future
I just want to chat about things like how we going to proceed, test
efforts
sharing....
Alain, anything else?
So I propose a
face-to-face meeting at your earliest convenience. We can go
over your
place or you guys are welcome come over here.
How do you guys
think?
Thanks,
James
