[cdt-dev] Multiple java processes on Linux?

Do you have any idea why on Linux when starting Eclipse CDT (and possibly all Eclipses) in addition to the `eclipse` process there are some 30+ java processes created? The processes seem identical and idle, but they are listed by ps, so they use some system resources anyway.

On Mac this behaviour is not observed, there is only one Eclipse.app process.
