[cdt-dev] SourceForge fails to serve Eclipse p2 repositories
|
Sorry for not being CDT specific, but in case you get questions why Eclipse cannot install/update from sites stored on SourceForge mirrors, it looks like they did yet another change:
!SUBENTRY 1 org.eclipse.equinox.p2.transport.ecf 4 1002 2017-01-28 18:48:05.200
!MESSAGE Unable to read repository at http://gnuarmeclipse.sourceforge.net/updates-test/content.xml.

As a consequence, GNU ARM Eclipse users can no longer install/update the plug-ins. This is the second time in the last few months when SourceForge changes impact Eclipse downloads.
I am seriously considering alternate solutions, but up to now I did not find anything free. My favourite would be GitHub, but storing a p2 repository in Git project is not natural at all, they do not provide any statistics/analytics.
Do you have any suggestions?
Regards,
Liviu
