Re: [cdt-dev] xlC - Is anyone working on the current set of plugins ?

That is what i thought !

So there will be a new community edition of xLC available soon. I started to work on creating the integration for our Eclipse based tool, but first I would like to adapt what is available in CDT today.

Assuming it works, it is OK to keep this new xlC within CDT and remove what is no longer supported ? Or the final decision is to remove it anyway ?

Looking at the source code, most of the current changes on xlc focus on making it compliant with the new versions of CDT, ensuring it do not brake the build. Another example is that the current version of xlC is 13, and the latest on supported in the plugin is 11.

No, no one is working on these plug-ins. The last commit from someone who was was 4 years ago.

I had proposed removing them as part of our clean up for CDT 9. I don't think it's fair to us to carry on this software without having any way to test any changes we make to them to keep the builds from breaking, let alone that it's been left to us to even do that.

Doug.
