Re: [cdt-dev] [Autotools] - Improve Wizard
|
Hi Jeff, I was thinking about a new page at the wizard where I could set
for instance the CC flag, ... Some users are complaining because these
options are hidden and are not so intuitive.
We could have some sort of auto-fill according the selected toolchain.

Hi Rafael,
You actually can make flag settings at project creation time today. On the last page of the Wizard,
if you click the Advanced Settings button, you are able to get to the Autotools->Configure Settings->Advanced and set the flags. These
will be used on the first build.
Does that solve your problem or would you still like to see a new page in the wizard perhaps dedicated to
flag overrides?

Subject: [cdt-dev] [Autotools] - Improve Wizard
Hello guys,
Autotools is such a great plugin (when used with the system's GCC).
When I have a different toolchain installed, during the project creation
wizard I can select it, but this change does not reflect in the project
setup. I need to manually add a entry at the Advanced node (located at
the project preferences).
Given this scenario, I would like to improve the autotools wizard,
allowing some configurations to be made during the project creation.
Is anyone working on it or have any idea/concerns/suggestions
regarding what can be done ?
