Good point. We did that for the EclipseCon program committee one year, having 5 people editing the same spreadsheet at the same time. It was cool and creepy

Desktop sharing would not help much since drawing on screen is hard. A hangout can be supplemented by editing of a shared document.
Seriously, though, I heard earlier today of someone (Dave Carver) using it for a team meeting. Said it was pretty good, albeit missing
the aforementioned feature.

I'm primarily interested in few brainstorming sessions mentioned in my entry in http://wiki.eclipse.org/CDT/summitfall2011.
They need to happen early in the release cycle. March is too late for them. Although brainstorming is hard to do remotely, we can try to use Google+ hangouts with every participant sitting in front of a laptop with a video camera and a whiteboard behind him/her.
Each participant could draw on his/her whiteboard visible to the camera.
