Re: [cdt-dev] Wascana Lives!

Title: Re: [cdt-dev] Wascana Lives!
Doug,

Congratulations, this is great news!

So what would it take for CDT on Windows to detect that you have no tool chain installed and then offer to install Wascana?

Congratulations Doug. I know you've been working on this for a long time, and the fact that it is live and soon to be available via the marketplace is only going to help more.

Hey gang,

Hot off the presses, I'm very pleased to announce that the Wascana Eclipse C/C++ IDE for Windows Developers lives on the new Eclipse Labs! Hop on over and check it out.

Right now, it has a p2 repo that contains GCC 4.4.1 from tdragon.net <http://tdragon.net>  <http://tdragon.net> , binutils and mingw runtimes from mingw.org <http://mingw.org>  <http://mingw.org> , and SDL from libsdl.org <http://libsdl.org>  <http://libsdl.org> . With help from the community, I hope to add more libraries and newer toolchains in the future.

I will also be creating a NSIS installer includes the Eclipse C/C++ IDE, Sun JRE, and the Wascana p2 repo for quick and easy installs.

Thanks to Ian Skerrett and Google for setting up the labs and inviting me to be one of the beta testers for it. I'm as excited about it today as when I first heard about it. More in my blog later today on that.

Cheers,
Doug
