[cdt-dev] How can I build and use my own lib on Linux

Hi again, (you must be sick of me today),

following popular demain, I'm trying to fix

http://bugs.eclipse.org/248595 - [breakpoints][cdi] - Add support pending breakpoints introduced in GDB 6.8.

which will allow to set breakpoints in libraries that are not loaded.

Can anyone tell me how I could test this on Linux?
How to I write a library, build it and call it from my project?

Thanks in advance.

Marc
