Re: [cdt-dev] Installing CDT6.0.1 stops me viewing Eclipse/CDT source
|
There is no error reported. Attached is the entire contents of the Log file.
To reproduce (on Windows)
1. Unzip eclipse-rcp-galileo-win32 or eclipse-rcp-galileo-SR1-win32
2. Run the extracted eclipse.exe (using a clean workspace)
3. Open EclipseAppLauncher, or any other source file. It opens
correctly, showing the source
4. Now install new software, using cdt-master-6.0.1.zip. Note that this
problem DOES NOT occur with cdt-master-6.0.0.zip
5. Restart
6. Now you just see the Class File Editor instead of the source file.
Every (Eclipse) source file is the same.
I have now tried this several times, and it failes in exactly the same
way every time. If Alex Chapiro can tell me what he did to make it work,
I'm happy to give it a try.
I have reverted to CDT6.0.0 and it is working. However, I'd like to find
a way to use CDT6.0.1.
Thanks

What does the error log say?

Is nobody seeing this error?
It seems pretty fundamental to me, and it seems to me that CDT 6.0.1
has broken something. If I use CDT6.0.0, then all works OK again.

Hi,
I have a freshly installed eclipse-rcp-galileo-SR1-win32.
I can run it, create a simple plugin and view Eclipse sources (I am
viewing ElipseAppLauncher as an example).
I then install from the CDT6.0.1.zip all components except LR
Parser,
Unified Parallel C and XLC (I don't need these). The install works
correctly, and I am prompted to restart.
When Eclipse+CDT restarts, it can no longer see any Eclipse
source files
- all I get is the .class file display.
Any ideas on
1. Why this is happening?
2. How to fix it?
Thanks
