There is not much difference beteen 5.0.2 (Ganymede SR2) and 6.0.

Hi,
sorry, I still haven't found the time to plunge into this, but one more question before I start:
We are still on the Ganymede version with Eclipse and CDT. Did anything change in the formatter since then, which makes it a better choice to upgrade now before I start to touch the code? Thanks again!

The code to look at is CodeFormatterVisitor and friends in the org.eclipse.cdt.core plug-in.

The extension point "org.eclipse.cdt.core.CodeFormatter" is defined in the same plug-in.

 

If you want to work on an enhancement or fix, please open a bugzilla for it.

Unfortunately, I am quite busy at the moment, so my response time will vary.
