RE: [cdt-dev] What to do when something breaks with a new platform?

Hi again,
I noticed this happens with the Restart button on a CDI launch.
Meaning, the Restart button on the Debug view toolbar is disabled,
but the Restart popup menu works.
Can anyone confirm this (just launch CDI on a local app and check)
so I can know if it is my setup or a Platform problem?

The platform team is almost entirely staffed by IBM, and has been dwindling in size over the years. As a result, if you'd like to get a bug fixed you at least need to provide a code snipped to reproduce the bug, and ideally a patch as well.... which means that you more less need to debug the problem to some extent yourself :-(
To make a code snippet, the safest thing is to extend a platform example to reproduce the problem. For the command framework, look in the /cvsroot/eclipse/org.eclipse.ui.examples.contributions plugin. If you don't have any luck, let me know and I'll also try to debug this.
