[cdt-dev] pkg-config support for CDT

Hello CDT-Team,

I've learned from several blog posts [1], bugreports [2], etc. that there is 
some demand for supporting the pkg-config tool for configuration of the 
build process in CDT.
As there is also some personal demand for this support (Gtk+ development), I 
would like to volunteer for this task. However I am new to developing 
plugins for Eclipse and especially for CDT and so I need some help or 
mentoring for this task.
At first it would be nice if someone could give me some hints to where I 
should start up.
