Not entirely true. The native fragments are platform dependent. There is such a fragment for solaris.

You won't find a solaris package amongst the Eclipse Packaging Project packages. You'll have to download the master zip from the CDT site and install it that way.

You need to find platform 3.3.2 for solaris. You can ask this at eclipse 
forum. CDT plugins are platform independent.
