My mistake - the workspace I tested with wasn't quite clean -
a completely clean install of Eclipse & CDT ver 1.2.0.41 does not
have the NullPointerException - managed make works fine. Sorry about
that.

I am in the process of moving the managed build code and UI into its own
projects today. The NullPointerException you are seeing could not
possibly
have anything to do with that. Please feel free to raise a bugzilla
report, or simply send me the stack trace from the log file and I'll

into right away.

[cdt-dev] Managed Make Status
In the last CDT Monthly Meeting, it was mentioned that the Managed Build
code was due to be moved across to the new plugins. In the meantime the
managed make project is broken in recent builds of Eclipse. (In build
1.2.0.41 I get a java.lang.NullPointerException encountered while
running
org.eclipse.cdt.internal.core.GeneratedMakefileBuilder.)
Can anyone comment on the status of this (it may be useful here or on
the
newsgroups for anyone attempting to create a new managed make project) ?
