The patches (extensions) attached to:

summarized as "Display values of custom data types", are currently the
only reason CoWare ships its own version of cdt.debug.core and cdt.debug.ui.
The idea was discussed with Mikhail here:

Feel free to change the names of methods, etc. There are no legal issues
with these patches from CoWare's side.

can compute a list of what we can achieve.
