Hugh,
I'm attempting to add my own toolchain right now as
well. Luckily yours is GNU-based, as I'm having quite
a time with my non-GNU toolchain.
If you haven't seen it yet (from the way you phrased
your question, it sounds like you haven't...), there's
a Managed Build System extensibility document that
describes how to do almost everything. The CDT
website still doesn't have the new version of the
document (for CDT 3.0), but it's in Eclipse's Help
under CDT Developer Plug-In Guide -> Programmer's
Guide -> Managed Build System Extensibility Document.
