[cdt-debug-dev] Idle thoughts on NPE and debugging outside a CDT project

I'm not advocating any solution to the "NPE problem", but if someone
has promising approaches to address this problem I for one would
be very interested.

I do claim that there is such a thing as an "NPE problem". 

The "NPE problem" is not specific to Eclipse, but that 5% of all PR's
touches on this, surprised me.
