Re: [cdt-debug-dev] Material on Debug design?
|
This should be done at the CDI level. Unfortunately no design documentation
on CDI is available, except javadocs. We are planning to revise the CDI
before 2.0 and release a design documentation.

Subject: [cdt-debug-dev] Material on Debug design?
I was wondering if there is any kind of design document (or something like
that) which describes the design of the 1.2 CDT debug interface and
extension points?
I want to understand what exists today, and what is in mind for tomorrow.
So I was also wondering if there is anything written down regarding what
might be in 2.0?
I am looking at possibly incorporating advanced multi-thread and parallel
debug capabilities and I need to understand how I can extend the next CDT
version to do this. These capabilities are beyond the scope of gdb today,
so the MI interface is probably not sufficient. I'd like to be able to tap
into advanced features of our debugger and provide an integrated user
interface to those features.
TIA
