Any plans to keep all this from getting hardcoded in CDT and moving architecture into some interface / extension point? --cms

Many reasons may explain this:
 - The HP patch was a .... convenience, since we don't
   really support Elf64 format.
 - Hopefully we will find a way to make contributions externally
   instead of bloating this class.  Future enhancement.

But the real reason, ... we(I) did not see your email 8-(
Lesson .. it is a good thing to ping back when no reaction 8-)
