Re: [cdt-core-dev] MacOSX/Objective-C
|
Yes, OSX support is on the way. Check the cdt-dev archive for mails from
Bryan Hunt. We are hoping he will get approval to submit his work soon.
As for Objective-C, there is an effort trying to gain momentum to deliver
Eclipse components that would make it easier to support new languages.
We'll certainly consider Objective-C as a candidate (along with the other
language supported by gcc).
Thanks for your interest and we'll try to get that OSX port to you as soon
as we can. We'll definitely need help testing and adding any Mac specific
features to it.
Cheers,
Doug Schaefer, Senior Software Developer
IBM Rational Software, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
P.S., to the Mac experts, do you pronounce OSX as OS-ten or OS-eks? I've
heard it both ways now...

Subject
[cdt-core-dev] MacOSX/Objective-C
I've been trying to determine if there are plans
to support OSX -- it looks like it's planned,
but not yet available?
I'd like to help with the OSX
version -- guess I should start by building from
source?
I'm curious if anyone has considered an Objective-C
variant for MacOSX?
Ed
