[cdt-core-dev] Proposal: commiter changes for CDT plugins

Hi all,

This is a follow-up to discussions with Doug Schaefer with respect
to committers for the CDT core/ui/test plugins. I'd like like
to float a series of proposals, as follows:

- Propose that Doug Schaefer become a commiter on the
org.eclipse.cdt.ui.tests plugins. Since this plugin also
contains the core tests (for the model and CDOM), Doug will
need commit access to check in his tests.

- In order for developers to check in documentation, web content
and plans, we're also proposing that we change the commiter model
for the *-home plugins (those that contain the web site for the different
components). We'd like to align the commiter list for these with the
plugin commiters, e.g. the commiters for cdt-core-home would be the
same list of commiters as for the org.eclipse.cdt.core and
org.eclipse.cdt.ui
plugins. This would facilitate developers contributing documentation
and web site updates. BTW, this is the model that the base platform and
JDT follows. We would also propose that Judy Green and myself remain
commiters on all of the -home plugins to take care of web site maintenance
etc.

- Propose that Doug Schaefer become a commiter on the org.eclipse.cdt.ui
component. Doug is already a commiter on the org.eclipse.cdt.core plugin.

Comments, votes?

Note: I expect that we will further rationalize the set of commiters for the

CDT components over the next couple of week.

Thanks,

Sebastien
