Dave,
Yes, I was suspecting this but don't know java well enough to know what
methods use unicode and which use native encoding.
I am not a very sophisticated java user but would be happy to download your
changes and try them out
if that is appropriate. Just bringing up the list of files and viewing
C-source is a pretty big test of your proposed changes.
Won't be able to test the CVS side as I don't have CVS server code for
z/OS. It hasn't been ported (I think).
