First apologies if I mention something that may have been discussed at length in the past.
In terms of the old scanning behavior with an empty beans.xml. If a user modified their old application so that the empty beans.xml now contained `<beans bean-discovery-mode=“all”/>` would that enable the old behavior?
Also, do we still use the convention of an empty beans.xml for anything? (I’m guessing it enables the new behavior?)

It was agreed during the call today that we will dedicate the very next meeting to going over proposed issues for future CDI version (4.1 or 5.0). We're nearing a date at which we'd like to have a release plan for future version so it's about time we curated the proposals and gauged what we can realistically get in and in what shape or form.
