PMC,
 
In this draft, we are proposing an accelerated schedule for the release. The thought process is that the BIRT 2.2.2 stream is looking very strong right now and it would be a good idea to make this available to the community at the beginning of the year as a production release. Everyone can then gain the benefit of the fixes in the release earlier rather than later.
 
Let's aim to discuss the draft at the PMC meeting on Monday.
