[birt-pmc] RE: Creating a German BIRT-homepage (Mike Milinkovich)
|
Title: birt-pmc Digest, Vol 19, Issue 1
Nina,
I like the idea of a German website.
If I can be of any assistance let me know.
I can explain and help setup the wiki
links.

I would like to petition the BIRT PMC to
consider adding OS X as a reference platform. I've been trying to use BIRT
2.1.2 on OS X all morning and it's almost unusable. I've run into problems
with changes not taking effect, features simply not working, and I've crashed
the JVM twice. I will open Bugzillas for the problems I'm having as I have
time, but would greatly prefer that BIRT be as stable on OS X as the other
platforms.
Thank you for this
consideration.
Bryan

Nina,
You can do all of
this via the EclipseWiki [1] The links to your wiki pages
from the BIRT pages
themselves would have to be approved and done by the
BIRT PMC, which I have
cc'd. (You will have to join [2] the list to be able
to post to
it.)
Hope this helps.

Creating a German BIRT-homepage
Dear Sir or Madam,
I'm an
information management student from Germany. Because of my
intermediate
diploma I worked a lot with BIRT. It's a great project and it's
really simple
to use. (And the two books from Addison Wesley are really
good!!!!) But I had
a few problems, too. But in the internet you can't find
good information in
German about BIRT and the books are currently available
in English
only.
So I was having the idea to create a own homepage for German BIRT
support.
That means that I wanted to write a few tutorials and how-to's and
create a
forum to solve problems from German BIRT users. I think I've a
good
knowledge to help people and looking forward to find interested
German
people to support me.
Of course I want to link to the official
BIRT site because there are many
good examples and of course a really good
newsgroup.
So my question is: May I make links to the official BIRT site?
Have I take
notice on something else? Can I use the eclipse logo on this
site?
With best regards
Nina Rothenberg
