Re: [birt-dev] [EXTERNAL] - Fwd: BIRT 4.9 release date

Thanks Yulin,
We embed BIRT with our product and ship it to our customers, we cannot use RC builds for our product. So this will not work for us :(.

Also, 4.9 RC1, does not have latest Batik jars. Its still using 1.9 & 1.10 version. Latest batik version is 1.11. Are there any plans to update Batik in 4.9?

I have created a bug for this: Bug 550314

You can start to use 4.9 RC1 which is quite stable and release ready.

It’s probably the same build for 4.9 release.

I’m not sure what’s the specific date to publish new build.

You can also build the latest code by yourselves using maven from github: https://github.com/eclipse/birt

Thanks,

Yulin

Thanks Yulin for quick response.

I rechecked BIRT 4.8 and it has Batik 1.7. Only the BIRT 4.9 RC1 has Batik 1.9.

Please let me know plans for BIRT 4.9 release.

Hi Anuj,

I think BIRT 4.8 is using Batik 1.9.

You can download build from: https://download.eclipse.org/birt/downloads/build_list.php.

Thanks,

Yulin

Hi BIRT developers,

There are some sever vulnerabilities reported in Apache Batik 1.7 which is used in current version of BIRT (4.8).

Wanted to know when will be BIRT 4.9 release? Its long sine RC1 was released.

Also, will it have latest Apache Batik in it?
