Re: [birt-dev] M6 Release

Scoot, I tried my standalone application with m6 and I got the error:

[java] Apr 11, 2007 2:20:11 PM
ataEngine doExecuteQuery
[java] SEVERE: Cannot open the connection for the driver: org.eclipse.birt.
[java] Cannot load JDBC Driver class: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver <>

and ojdbc.jar file is in the classpath. The same code withed with m5.

Any idea?

I tracked down the issue, it appears to be related to a change between M5 and M6 in regards to having a Page-Number AutoText control in the header area of a table. I have filed a bugzilla, this should not stop the release of M6.

If a decision has not been made on the M6 build, I have found another issue while working with the Design API that I am still researching. We could probably go ahead with the release, but I would like to see if I can get to the bottom of this issue.
