[birt-dev] using bir.wan can save a report in hard disk?

Hi folks,

I have read this part

Currently I know I can make request a report through URL by putting
birt.war in delpoy.
I wonder if using birt.war can save a report to hard disk.
Or I need to create a reportwirter using report engine 
(http://eclipse.org/birt/index.php?page=deploy/engine.html)
to save the report in the disk.
