[birt-charting-dev] Unable to use a text data to render a numerical/datetime axis.

Dear all in the BIRT chart engine there is option for setting text type at the y axis

Y axis value can only be Numarical/Logarithimic/Date but Y axis doesnt support Text type data

suppose in oracle there a column which type is VARCHAR but the value in that column is number format , BIRT is unable to render

VARCHART TYPE column in y axis. any knows , is there is any solution
