Dear Max,
thank you very much for your feedback on the Property Delegation feature. Yes, basic Auth is not supported at the moment for Property Delegation. We’re planning to support such scenarios in future
but right now, we’re focusing on the transition to DotAAS Version 3.
Are you aware of the BaSyx Open Hour [1]? There, we’re discussing the next steps and upcoming features of BaSyx together with the participants.
Best regards,
Frank

Betreff: [basyx-dev] Property Delegation to secured endpoints
Hi,
Currently, I am working on the integration of Eclipse Basyx into a IoT backend infrastructure using the property delegation feature [1] and the databridge component
for data transformation.
As the asset under the delegated endpoint already provides the data in a format suitable for the submodel, I want to use the property delegation directly on the
endpoint without using the databride [2].
Is it possible to query data from endpoints secured by Basic Auth maybe by providing credentials besides the delegated Endpoint?
For testing purposes I tried to put the credentials directly into the endpoints URL (http://username:password@URL) but
this seems to be not supported at the moment if I am not mistaken. Are there any plans in the future to support this kind of functionality?
Beyond that, is there a public roadmap for upcoming features? In fact, the updates via the mailing list for new features is extremely helpful!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
