[autoapiframework-dev] Bi-weekly sync on 2025-10-29
|
Hi everyone,
I cannot join our sync today due to travel activity. Here my points for the exchange today:
- Logo draft, I received new versions of our logo draft from Amin Rasti. We tried to fill the gap in the top left corner that is where you now find the shape of a
car.
For colors I proposed to go with the colors you get when you mix the logo colors of ZF and Vector. This gives a purple tone: #613A75 and its inverted color, which is a green tone: #9EC58A.
You find the draft attached. Plan is to add a little bit of black (for some of the characters) but other than that, this can be considered as more or less the proposal for discussion.
Please let me know what you think.
- A colleague of mine, who has worked on the integration of Application Framework with S-CORE communication (LoLa) successfully completed a blueprint. We now have
a working setup with consumer and provider modules that allow to use this communication channel for ECU-internal data exchange. It seems that field and method support in LoLa is missing in the code base even though it is listed as feature in the docs. We also
struggled with the missing CMake support. The projects provide Bazel support only. As we have added this support for our project, we plan to feed the added CMake projects back to S-CORE via PRs. Let’s see if they like it. It affects the
communication and the
baselibs projects. They also use a custom GCC-based toolchain with modified SYSROOT. This is problematic in terms of portability but maybe they have a good reason to do so. Our CMake project resolves that
problem too as it is agnostic and can be used with any compiler.
- Finally, I got added to the list of project committers. Not via election but as late addition to the initial list of committers. Last week I completed my first PR.
As we have several improvements and features for the Application Framework in the internal pipeline, I plan to publish them soon. In this course I also plan to integrate the missing license information on source code level, which might be interesting for Gunnar
Andersson.
- Also, the joint example based on the scenario as shared by ZF will soon be published.
Best regards and see you next time
-Manuel
