Dear Werner, 

The AutoIWG Face2Face Meeting is thought to track the progress, provide
feedback and think of new activities of the Eclipse AutoIWG. It is not
a meeting 
"behind closed doors", but we expect that meeting participants
are as well WG participants. I propose you participate in the next telco
of the group (probably
second week of October, I will invite
next week) and decide
about your further involvement in the WG. 

We are though open for a chat after the sessions anytime.  :)

I am near Stuttgart (to be precise, Porsche is just at
my doorstep here

)
then, so unless the F2F was only accessible to people at ECE I would be
happy to join you at least for the second half (after Lunch) of  it. 

I help a PolarSys member with M2M and an Embedded Real
Time project, but the schedule is quite busy so even if I was actively
involved in any of the sessions my proposed co-speakers like JSR 354 Spec
Lead CS or others would have had to do most this time. The company could
have somebody from their HQ join ECE but even the only PolarSys related
presentation accepted for ECE is a project they are not actively involved
in, so there is no official duty for me at ECE the client would spare me
for

The venue is close and meeting you for the first time
in person especially given my involvement with e.g. OpenXC (it was not
found relevant enough yet for Automotive to be presented at ECE, to be
honest it is still a bit of a "test balloon" so maybe in a few
years it might change

)
or other Embedded, Automotive or LocationTech projects might be worth a
chat. 

Should you meet "behind closed doors" at least
for those with no time or need to attend the conference, I'd be happy to
have a chat and beer with you nearby. I'lll certainly mark the 28th as
the most promising date to visit Ludwigsburg...
