Well, I figured there are quite a few spots where extensions are
needed - at least to get the functionality I want. I don't have the
time do that, now. Nevertheless, I still opened an enhancement
request and will see to tackle it as soon as I get some air in my
master thesis. For now, I just included my quick fix, which is
sufficient for what I need.
