and Jonas Boner
Following the
announcement that Jonas Boner and Alexandre Vasseur will
be joining the AspectJ team to collaborate on the
development of
AspectJ 5, I would like
to call for a vote to grant them commit rights
to the AspectJ project, in accordance with the Eclipse
Technology
Projects charter.
Jonas and Alex have already made many
contributions to the design of
the
enhanced LTW support in AspectJ 5 and to the annotation style of
development we will be supporting. They will
be working initially on
these features
and the associated documentation. They have already
produced a number of patches in these areas. This work
will be
undertaken in a branch of the
code base, and merged into head with the
assistance of one or more existing committers.
Jonas and Alex are of course well known for their
existing
contributions to AOP weaver
development through the AspectWerkz
project and I'm delighted to have them working with us.
Please join me in welcoming them to the
project,
