Re: [asciidoc-wg] Electronic Vote: AsciiDoc logo choice

Alexander,

Yes, I would like to see the new logo used by editors, including the IntelliJ AsciiDoc plugin. That usage was a key requirement we had in mind when designing the logo.

Best Regards,

Hi Dan,

the AsciiDoc plugin for IntelliJ currently uses the Asciidoctor logo. This choice dates back several years when AsciiDoc didn't have its own logo. As the plugin uses Asciidoctor to render the preview, this was a natural choice.

Now I wonder: should/can the plugin use the new AsciiDoc logo?

Maybe this is a question for the list, maybe it is a question for the upcoming SC meeting.

Best regards,
Alexander

AsciiDoc WG SC and AsciiDoc community at large,

The vote for the logo direction is now closed after receiving the requisite number of votes. I'm pleased to share the result of this ballot and the future of our brand identity!

Option #1: 6 votes in favor
Option #3: 1 vote in favor

Option #1 is the direction we will pursue. I will pass this on to Ura Design, who will begin refining the logo, incorporating it into the asciidoc.org site design, proposing color options, adding trademark emblem(s), etc.

Thanks to those who participated in this vote and provided feedback on the logo issue. And a happy New Year to all!

Best Regards,

-Dan
