Community Day at EclipseCon 2021 planning is underway! Since this is a day by and for the Eclipse Community, they want to hear from you!
Below is a link to a survey spreadsheet with a few key questions. Your answers will help them design a format that works best for the community.
Shortly they will be asking working groups to reserve their Community Day spots. Details about session content will be due in September, so there will be plenty of time to plan and promote.
As a refresher or for those who are a new working group, here is the Community Day 2020 schedule. To get you thinking about designing a session, here is a list of session types from previous years:
Working group general meeting
Series of related project status reports
Multiple technical presentations aimed at a particular audience
Panel discussion
Summit featuring a particular technology
User forum
Training session
The survey is in this shared spreadsheet so that responses are visible to everyone. Please fill this out as quickly as possible. If you have questions or would like more information, please reach out to Anne (copied).
A few points of interest:
Sessions are Zoom meetings (not webinars) with a 300-person limit
Attendees do not need to sign up ahead of time (other than to register for EclipseCon)
Working Group representatives serve as meeting hosts for the sessions (training provided if needed); conference staff will be in the background
Session times and durations can be fairly flexible, between the hours of 15:00 and 19:00 CET on October 25 (the later times help accommodate more time zones)
This is a great opportunity for Eclipse Working Groups to help shape Community Day. I encourage you to take advantage!
