In addition to Jesse's response, I would like to add that the above is a very worrisome idea from a trademark law perspective. If executed as described, this could result in what lawyers refer to as "naked licensing" and cause the loss of trademark rights in "AsciiDoc". That would be a bad outcome for this group.
