Ah ok, makes sense.
Another idea is doing 'screenshot of the week'. The idea is to blog each
week a screen shot of Andmore that shows a specific feature. You don't need
to write a lot of text, if any, but it gives people an idea of what is
involved in Andmore.

I meant for getting Google and BlackBerry to mention it it needs to be
product quality. Their reputation is at stake.
But as the project we can start promoting it now and do hangouts and such
to help build the momentum.

Does it need to be product quality or usable so people can get a sense for
what Andmore will accomplish?

Yeah, that would be better. Something that will get picked up on searches.
Would also be nice if Google mentioned it on their site.? I could also see
if I can get a mention on our BlackBerry Android dev site.
But I agree with Eric. We need to make sure it's product release quality
before we can get partners on board and promote it as such. A hangout on
air to help build awareness is something we could do soon.

Do you want to do a webinar/Google Hangout on Andmore? We could record it
and promote it to the community.

Anybody that has travel budget feel like doing presentations on it?
Unfortunately I have no travel budget so won't be able to travel around and
promote it. I have thought about going on Floss Weekly to do an Andmore
interview there, get the word out that way.
Local user group presentations would help as well.

+1. Need to raise awareness that Andmore exists and what it is. The
Marketplace listing should help. Need to find other ways too though.

I am not sure what you mean by 'canary channel'. There is no expectation
that Eclipse Marketplace listings must be production quality. Alpha and
beta listings are most welcome.

Marketplace for ADT does install the most recent Google-built plugins and
the listing is still valid. But, installs have been dropping the last few
months as there's no new features or platform support.
Creating a canary channel for andmore would be a good way to get people to
use it. However, I don't know if it falls within the acceptable usage
terms. There are listings on there for "betas", which is effectively the
same thing. I don't see anything specific to Marketplace in the general
Eclipse T&Cs and I don't see a Marketplace-specific set of T&Cs on the
subsite.
Ian, any comment on whether a canary/beta channel is an acceptable
practice?

Good idea.
When I search for "android" in the Eclipse Marketplace, I find the
abandoned ADT plugins, but Andmore.

I just finished installing ADT via Marketplace. Got me to thinking if we
wanted to put in a canary channel for Andmore via Marketplace. I just need
the install site base URL. Eventually it will need to be a stable URL or a
redirect that the marketplace installer can support.
