All that is already there. The bot just needs to be added to the repository and given write access.

Yes, you can go ahead and release it. It is a good way to test that the stage/release jobs are set uo correctly. Remember to send a PR to update the spec page after releasing.

I think we are almost ready for an M1 release. What is needed from a
process perspective? Is this just a normal project level activity that
we just go ahead and do? Note, I don't think the TCK and implementation
is quite ready yet.
