The Adoptium Working Group Steering Committee, primarily composed of Strategic members with representation from Enterprise, Participant and Committer members, currently has a vacant Enterprise seat. An election is being called to fill this vacancy, with the elected representative serving until the annual Working Group election in March 2026.
Please note the following important information:
Nomination Eligibility
Enterprise Members: Bloomberg L.P. , Canonical Group Limited, Fujitsu Limited, Red Hat, Inc.
Employees of the Adoptium Working Group Enterprise members are eligible for election to the Steering or Marketing Committees (or both). View current members here. Only one candidate per Enterprise member organization is allowed.
Election Schedule
August 18 - 25 : Call for Nominations
August 27: Announce Candidates Standing
August 28 - September 5: Ballots Sent (Voting Period)
September 8: Announce Elected Candidates
Nominations must be sent to this mailing list indicating related Committee/Seat. When the nomination period is closed, we will inform the working group of the confirmed candidates providing a short bio for each along with their position statement. At that point, we will distribute ballots via email to those eligible to vote. The election process will follow the Eclipse “Single Transferable Vote” method, as defined in the Eclipse Bylaws. The winning candidates will be announced on this mailing list following the close of the election. All members are encouraged to consider nominating and self-nominations are also more than welcome!”
As we open nominations, we encourage all nominees to include a short bio highlighting their relevant experience and contributions. If you are nominating yourself, please provide this along with your submission. If you are accepting a nomination made by someone else, kindly share a brief bio to help the selection process.
