Hello all, I'm attempting to get my Eclipse 3.1.2 to properly use
rcstemplates on a CVS check-in. Currently, my rcstemplate file has one
line "BugID: ". When I go to check-in a file, the rcstemplate is displayed
correctly, however the "BugID: " string is striped out of the actual cvs
comment (only what I've entered in the comment window after the template is
left).

Is this intended functionality? I find it strange since command line cvs
(and most cvs clients I've worked with), don't do this. They simply
include the template text along with the appended comments.

Does anyone know of a way to get eclipse to include the text of the
rcstemplate along with the comments.

Thanks
Mark

This is a bug. The template is stripped if it is unmodified and only
appended to. This is generally correct but should only happen if there
are no changes on the last line (as in your case). I thought there was
an existing bug for this but I have not been able to find it. Please
enter a new bug report against Platform/CVS.
