show source file in package explorer [message #301359] Wed, 29 March 2006 09:53 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,

Currently I am working on an big project with about 1000 java files and
hundrets of jsps and some more files. It's easy to open a source file with
the CTRL+SHIFT+T key combination. Now I wonder whether it is possible to
show the open file in the package explorer. Otherwise it's nearly impossible
to find it manually.

Thanks in advance for your reply.
Regards,
Andreas

It's the little "2 arrow" icon next to the minus sign.

There are two ways:

1) To just show the one file in the package explorer:
In Eclipse 3.2M5a, just bring popup menu on the java editor and Show
In->Package Explorer.

2) To always have the package explorer switch automatically to show the
currently selected java editor:
On the package explorer toolbar there is a tool that looks like two
arrows going in opposite directions. Select that and the package
explorer will automatically switch.
