Hi,
You should check that your firewall is not blocking the port used by the
JVM debug mechanism...

Hmm, it's interesting that the output of 'java' (in your earlier post) said
1.6.0_11, but javaw is saying 1.6.0_07.
Since the obvious things have not helped, it may be time to start very
systematically. If you create a fresh workspace, and create a simple "hello
world" program in Java, and put a breakpoint in it and Debug, does it work?
If that doesn't work, I think I might back up even further, by downloading a
fresh copy of Eclipse and installing it into a fresh directory... maybe a
fresh copy of the JDK as well, and make sure to point Eclipse explicitly to
that JDK in the eclipse.ini file.
