When I start a project with "Run as application" then Eclipse searches always
for classes with "main" and lists all found.

How can I assign/pre-define one class which should be executed from now on without prompt?

Sonya,

Once you run something once, you'll notice it (the launch configuration
created for it) appears in the Run->Run History, which is also available
from the Run toolbar button dropdown. It's very handy. Invoking the
Run popup on a specific Java file helps too...
